SUMMARY:LAGLCC Skills Series
DESCRIPTION:LAGLCC Skills Series is a new skills-based training program for LGBTQ+ business owners and leaders\, with 2026 being our pilot year. Each session is led by LAGLCC experts and business owners\, covering the skills our members requested and voted on. \n\n\n\nSessions run 90 minutes to 2 hours and meet the second Tuesday of every month at 12 PM\, starting September 8th through the end of 2026.\n\n\n\nThis year's topics: speaking and presentation skills\, AI\, marketing\, and business structures.\n\n\n\nIf you need financial assistance\, please reach out directly.\n\n\n\nQuestions? Email lizakcoaching@gmail.com.\n\n\n\nTOPIC:\nYour Business\, Your Voice: A Speaking & Presentation Skills Workshop\n\nThink about the last time you had to talk about your business. Maybe it was a client asking what makes you effective or different. Maybe it was a room full of strangers at a panel\, a training you were leading\, or just someone at a party asking a simple question you somehow couldn't simply answer. However it happened\, you probably noticed the gap between what you know about your business or your expertise and what actually came out of your mouth.\n\nThis workshop is built for entrepreneurs who want to close that gap. Over two hours\, we'll work through the situations that come up again and again: introducing yourself and your work without sounding rehearsed\, structuring a message so people remember it\, presenting to a room without losing your nerve\, and adjusting your pitch depending on who's actually listening.\n\nYou don't need to be a natural speaker to belong here. Bring your business\, your questions\, and whatever situation has been giving you trouble\, and leave with tools you can use the next time you're talking about your work\, wherever that happens.\n\n\n\nABOUT THE SPEAKER: \n\nLiza Katsman is an ICF-certified (ACC) Executive & Entrepreneurship Coach who partners with leaders and business owners to navigate growth and become who they want to be in their work. She helps clients build the skills and confidence to move past what's holding them back\, including how they show up and communicate\, whether they're speaking to a client\, an audience\, or a room full of strangers.\n\nShe holds an MBA from UCLA in Organizational Management with a background in research on social psychology and interpersonal communication. Alongside her coaching\, she leads corporate leadership development training\, drawing on more than 20 years of experience teaching and training in a range of settings. She's run her own business for the past six years and knows firsthand what it takes to build something meaningful.
