About Us

Queer Film Collective LA (QFC LA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ professionals working across all areas of film and television. Based in Los Angeles, QFC LA exists to build community, expand access, and strengthen career pathways for queer creatives at every stage of their professional journey.

Guided by our four pillars Connect, Collaborate, Create, and Celebrate, QFC LA offers networking events, educational programming, audience feedback screenings, and direct financial support. These initiatives provide meaningful opportunities for creatives to build relationships, develop projects, and grow sustainable careers in the industry.

QFC LA places a strong emphasis on uplifting underrepresented voices, including trans and nonbinary creatives, disabled artists, queer people of color, and early-career professionals who often face systemic barriers within the industry. In addition to community-building, the organization is working towards providing tangible resources such as filmmaker grants, fiscal sponsorship, and funding opportunity alerts to help queer-led projects move from development to completion.

By investing in both people and projects, Queer Film Collective LA works to ensure that authentic LGBTQ+ stories continue to be created and shared, fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and vibrant film and television industry.
